Wearable Hope Launches With Mission to Merge Apparel and Awareness
New Site Creates Unique Opportunity to Raise Funds and Generate Awareness for Nonprofits Through T-Shirts
AUSTIN, TX--(November 05, 2013) - Wearable Hope, an apparel website created to drive
awareness and generate funds for nonprofit organizations, will now begin partnering with
national nonprofit organizations after a successful inaugural month of supporting local
nonprofits. Each week Wearable Hope partners with a different nonprofit organization and
provides custom t-shirt designs unique to their cause. For each t-shirt sold Wearable Hope
donates $10 back to that organization and together they promote the cause in efforts to raise
awareness for the mission of the nonprofit. In the month of October, $10,000 was donated to five
nonprofit organizations based in Austin, Texas where Wearable Hope is headquartered through
the weekly partnerships.
In honor of Veterans Day next week, Wearable Hope is partnering with Team Red, White &
Blue, an organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of America's veterans by connecting
them to their communities through physical and social activity. Wearable Hope t-shirts sell for
$20 to $25 and will benefit Team Red, White & Blue today through Monday, November 11.
"The idea for Wearable Hope came after we expanded our custom printing operation to t-shirts.
We wanted to create a unique giving and awareness generating component for t-shirt printing,
and Wearable Hope was born," said Dan Graham, CEO of BuildASign.com, Wearable Hope's
parent company. "We thought this was a perfect way for people to make a donation to causes
they support and get a unique and stylish t-shirt in return that will help drive awareness to that
cause."
Wearable Hope is run by BuildASign.com, an Austin, Texas-based online custom printing
provider which also operates AlliedShirts.com and
Printcopia.com. The BuildASign.com
founders and staff have always prioritized giving back to the community, helping those in need
and driving social awareness. Since 2008, BuildASign.com has contributed more than $750,000
to over 800 local and national nonprofit organizations, and has received national recognition for
its donation of more than 300,000 Welcome Home banners and signs
to the friends and families
of returning military service members, valued at over $9 million.
