Dan Graham, CEO

Dan Graham co-founded in 2005 and oversees the company's growth strategy and plays a key role in its philanthropic efforts and talent acquisition. Dan is a winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2013 Central Texas award. He is also a recipient of the Austin Business Journal's 2012 Best CEO Award, and was named 2012 Austinite of the Year and the Business and Entrepreneurship category winner by Austin Under 40, recognizing his success as a business owner as well as his commitment to philanthropic work. As a native Austinite, Dan personally gives back to the Austin community through participation on the Board of Directors for numerous philanthropic organizations including Austin Community Foundation, Glasshouse Policy and Mission Capital among several others. He also acts as a mentor to aspiring young entrepreneurs working with Capital Factory and SKU. Dan earned undergraduate degrees in computer science and philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law. As the father to three incredible daughters, Dan spends his free time with them and his wife, Lisa. Dan is an avid reader and enjoys practicing yoga a few times a week.

Bryan Kranik, President and Chief Marketing Officer

Bryan Kranik joined in 2015 and oversees marketing, product management, manufacturing and supply chain, technology, enterprise account sales, and customer love teams. Prior to, Bryan spent 14 years at Dell in the Consumer and Small Business division holding leadership roles in marketing, sales and general management. His most recent role at Dell was leading the organization responsible for marketing and selling to small businesses which generated more than $1B in annual revenue. Before joining Dell, Bryan worked for Ernst & Young as an Auditor and Merrill Lynch as an Investment Banker. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. On the weekend, Bryan spends time with his wife, Christy, and son, Hudson, and plays outdoor soccer in a competitive men's league.

Sue Darrow, Chief People Officer

Sue Darrow oversees’s HR Department as well as the Training and Development and Community Programs. She is responsible for compensation, benefits, employee relations, policy design and employee culture and engagement.

Since January 2015, Sue was the VP, Global HR for Mozido, a global provider of digital commerce and payment solutions. Prior to that role, she was the Chief People Officer for Catapult Systems, a Microsoft consulting company, for 10 years.

Sue has over 20 years of domestic and international human resources management experience. While attending the University of Georgia, Sue was awarded an internship in the International Human Resources division at Coca-Cola in Atlanta and then offered a full-time position. She then worked in HR for Borden, LCI, The Limited and Cardinal Health in Columbus, Ohio. In 1997 Sue moved to Texas for a position with Supportkids as Director of Human Resources for 7 years.

Sue lives in Austin with her husband David and 13 year old son Alex and enjoys home renovation projects, gardening and California red wines.

Joe Licata, Chief Operations Officer

Joe Licata oversees’s production, logistics, and supply chain operations. Joe joined BuildASign in 2013. Before leading the Operations team, Joe served as both In-House Counsel and Financial Analyst for BuildASign. He is responsible for scaling the company's production capabilities in addition to working with the operations leadership group to support the needs of the Production Team Members (PTMs). Joe coaches youth sports and periodically serves as a mentor for 3 Day Startup (3DS) teams in College Station. In addition, Joe is active in the Austin Regional Manufacturers Association (ARMA) and is a board member for the Southwest region of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME). Before joining, Joe worked in investment banking and as an attorney. He has a bachelors of science degree in Economics from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University, where he was a Walsh Scholar. When he's not at work Joe enjoys spending time outside on the local greenbelt with his wife and their three children. Occasionally he can also be found casting a fly rod somewhere on the San Gabriel or Colorado river.

Kit Mellem, Chief Financial Officer

Kit Mellem oversees’s financial operations, policies and reporting. Kit joined in 2009 and has helped the company continue to grow rapidly and increase profitability. Prior to joining, Kit was an attorney with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York, where his practice focused on the taxation of corporate transactions. In 2014, the Austin Business Journal recognized Kit as the city’s Best CFO in the large private company category. Kit was also a winner at the 2014 Austin Under 40 Awards in the Financial Services & Insurance category, recognizing him as a leader in his industry and also for his commitment to serving the community. Kit serves on the Board of Directors for GENaustin and the Austin Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI). He earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and philosophy from The University of Kansas and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. Kit is the proud gold medal winner in the StartUp Games Connect 4 challenge and enjoys whiskey tasting and the Austin restaurant scene.

Christian Orawetz, Director of Technology

Christian Orawetz oversees's software development teams and IT group. Since joining the company in 2012, Christian held multiple roles ranging from Sr. Software Engineer, to Software Engineering Manager and now Director of Technology. Christian and his team are focused on delivering technology solutions that allow to continue to grow and scale its e-commerce business and manufacturing operations. Prior to joining, Christian held multiple software engineering and Technical Expert positions with Walmart's Information Systems Division where he lead teams building applications and systems used to manage Walmart's sizeable transportation network. Outside of work, Christian takes every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. You'll catch him cycling local roads and trails, or hiking with his wife and kids.

Nick Swerdfeger, Chief Customer Officer

Nick Swerdfeger leads’s enterprise accounts services, product addition strategy and customer service teams. Nick joined in 2007 and played an instumental role in scaling the company's operational infrastructure and capabilities to effectively meet’s rapid growth. Now, more focused on the front end of the business, Nick leads efforts directly impacting the customer experience and growth initiatives. Nick is on the Board of Directors for the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) Southwest Region, Austin Regional Manufacturers Association (ARMA), TeXChange and supports STEM through work with Phoenix Aviation Dream Builders. Before joining, Nick served as an Optimization Engineer for BP at their Carson, CA refinery. He earned bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering and economics from Colorado School of Mines. Nick is an active investor in the Austin entrepreneurship scene, enjoys traveling and can typically be found on the soccer field on Saturday mornings. Board of Directors:
