The BuildASign.com Giving Program, a self-sustaining program that supports nonprofit organizations nationwide, has made more than $1 million of in-kind donations to more than 1,700 nonprofits of all sizes. The program was created in 2010 and provides donations and discounts on signage and other BuildASign.com products to nonprofit organizations to help them keep their overhead costs down. BuildASign.com has also received national recognition for its donation of more than 345,000 welcome home banners and signs (valued at more than $10 million) to the friends and families of military service members returning home from a deployment.

Since its inception in 2010, BuildASign.com's Giving Program has donated more than $1 million in cash, in-kind gifts and services to more than 1,700 nonprofit organizations nationwide. The Giving Program operates as a self-funded and self-sustaining business unit that allows for exponential growth and giving, and also funds BuildASign.com’s employee donation matching and in-kind and cash corporate gifts.
In addition to working with local nonprofit organizations, the Giving Program also partners with national organizations like The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and supports them by providing technology solutions, branding and logistics assistance. Through the support of the Giving Program, all chapter staff across the country has access to pre-approved templates for items like event and corporate signage to allow them to focus more time on their mission rather than logistics.
The Troops Program is just one of the ways BuildASign.com shows its support for the men and women who serve our country. One of the greatest times for a military family is when their loved one returns home from a deployment, so BuildASign.com provides military friends and families with free customized welcome home signage to help make each homecoming just a little more special. To date, BuildASign.com has donated more than 345,000 welcome home banners and signs (valued at more than $10 million).
In 2013, BuildASign.com spearheaded the creation of Philanthropitch, a fast pitch forum for Austin’s most promising nonprofit organizations looking for access to human and financial capital. The high energy event serves as a platform for local organizations to present a specific need that will dramatically grow their impact on the community. Since 2013, over $300,000 has been donated to deserving Central Texas nonprofit organizations through the event.
